INDIAN TRADITION
Indian culture is based on the spirit of human welfare. According to our culture, all human actions should be done for the benefit of others and their happiness. Human welfare has been wished to express the basic spirit of Indian culture. May all be happy, all should be healthy, everyone is well and no one has any grief.
The quality of tolerance and forgiveness holds a significant place in humans. The person who has the quality of tolerance, he remains calm even when others are angry and saying abusive words. He keeps wishing others well in every situation. That is why he has no enemy.
On the other hand, when a person is hostile to enmity, envy to envy, then that person is acting not of human but of animals. If you do any bad thing with an animal, it will harm you back.
This is the difference between humans and animals, animals do not have the feeling of tolerance, sensitivity, benevolence, and cooperation. Whereas a human has all these qualities. Losing someone and retaliating makes a man mannered.
Anger destroys his intelligence, and a person does not have any knowledge of what is right and wrong when his intellect is destroyed. Whereas man should always take care of others. If someone does something wrong with you, the person who shows his / her endurance at that time is called superior.
When that person realizes that his wrong behavior is not having any bad effect on you, then that person will also correct his behavior. Similarly, forgiveness is also a feeling of human welfare. When a person commits a bad deed, then if he is forgiven instead of being punished, then that person will automatically change.
Therefore, it has been said that even the one who has the weapon of forgiveness, even the wicked cannot spoil it. Jealousy, malice, and disharmony signify the human soul because any person who has these demerits can never succeed and has a constant downfall.
On the other hand, everyone respects and respects tolerant people in society. It is also said in the Gita that "a person who considers everyone as his own is called a learned and a pandit".
The Lord Jesus gave similar teaching: "If a man slaps your right cheek, turn your left cheek in front of him. If not at one time, he will have to be ashamed at other times. "
The robber Angulimal was conquered by the Buddha through his long-suffering and sweet behavior. Vinoba Bhave had surrendered the dacoits and changed his heart through affectionate behavior, sweet words, and warm-heartedness. Some people believe that nothing is gained by forgiveness and tolerance. This type of ideology increases the wickedness of the wicked even more.
Such persons say that wickedness should be treated with the wicked. A sinner like Ravana had no effect to explain Ram. Duryodhana was very kindly requested by Sri Krishna to give only five villages to the Pandavas, but this did not affect Duryodhana and resulted in the loss of millions of lives.
People believe that no wicked person gives up his wickedness without fear. If the criminal is not afraid of punishment, he never gives up his criminal instincts. But this perception of people is not more appropriate because anger cannot end with anger. Enmity can be eliminated only by love, similarly, jealousy can also be overcome with love, only then the welfare of humanity is possible.
